John T. Dishon

John Thomas Dishon, age 75, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at his home. Born Tuesday, April 20, 1948, in Danville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Elmer Dishon and the late Verda Humphrey.  His loving wife, whom he married Friday, August 24, 1979, is Catherine Marie Chappell Dishon of Stanford.  John retired from Modine Manufacturing in Harrodsburg.  John loved playing bass guitar in church.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, detailing cars, and playing video games.

In addition to his wife, John leaves behind three sons, John “Junior” Dishon of Richmond, Kentucky,

Troy Dishon (Alyssa) of Danville, Kentucky, and Tyler Miller of Richmond, Kentucky; two daughters, Rachel Dishon Hernandez of Richmond, Kentucky, and Michelle Stamper of Stanford, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, Kayla Miller, Katlyn Shepherd, Ashton Daugherty, Kingston Daugherty, Hudson Bishop, Hadley Bishop, Zachary Dishon, Alex Dishon, Sarah Dishon, and Keaira Harris; 6 great grandchildren, Alexander Peppard, Oliver Silvers, Remington Livingston, Elliana Peppard, Blakely Dishon, and

Wyatt Shepherd; 2 sisters, Wanda Chambers (Paul) of Danville, Kentucky, and Linda Rogers (Belvin) of Stanford, Kentucky; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Dishon; one grandchild, Brittany Miller; one great grandchild, Brynlee Daugherty; three brothers, David Dishon, Tommy Dishon, and Paul Dishon.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, June 9, 2023, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM Friday, at the Funeral Home.  Bro. John Humphrey will officiate the service.

Following the Funeral Service, Cremation Rites will be honored.
