Joan K. (Salyers) Ernst

Joan K. (Salyers) Ernst, age 64, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Monday, December 24, 1956, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Donald & Norma Martin Salyers.  Joan enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and tanning in her spare time. 

Joan leaves behind one daughter, Shana Ernst of the Highland community in Lincoln County, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jailyn Carmack (Camren) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Malachi Gooch ./of the Highland community; two brothers, Barry Salyers (Susan) of Danville, Kentucky, and Todd Salyers (Katrina) of Stanford; three sisters, Leann Jones (Ike) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Melissa Cornett of the Highland community, and Joyce Hamilton (Jimmy) of Kings Mountain; a special friend, Bill Wall of the Walltown community of Casey County, Kentucky; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Salyers; and one sister, Donna Salyers.

A Public Graveside Visitation will be held 1-2PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at KP Hall Cemetery.  Burial will follow the visitation.  Malachi Gooch, Jordan Alcorn, Bryston Alcorn, and Montgomery Cornett will serve as Active Pallbearers. 

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to current COVID-19 regulations, those individuals who have not been vaccinated, will be required to wear face coverings.
