JoAnn Moore Obituary

JoAnn Moore, age 79, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020. Born Monday, March 17, 1941in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Bessie Phillips Pennington. She was the loving wife to John F. Moore of Waynesburg, whom she married Saturday, January 24, 1959. JoAnn was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes and jewelry, gardening, taking care of her grandchildren and enjoyed reading the Bible.

In addition to her husband, JoAnn leaves behind two sons, Bart (Tammie) Moore of Waynesburg and Anthony (Christy) Moore of Waynesburg; two daughters, Jackie (Allen) Buschur of Waynesburg and Amy Williams of Waynesburg; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Ian Moore, Tosha Downey Buschur, Seth Buschur (Leslie), Cody Moore, Madison Williams, Tucker Williams, Josh Haught, and Dani Haught; 5 great-grandchildren, Lakyn Buschur, Ty Lee Downey, Paisley Downey, Blakely Buschur and Bentley Brown; one brother Ronnie Pennington (Ann) of Lexington, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by one daughter, Jolene Moore; 5 brothers, Charlie, Fred, Henry, Brantley and Odell Pennington; 2 sisters, Bea Phillips and Ruth Speigle.

Due to current COVID-19 regulations, a Private Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 27, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Martin will officiate the service. The service will be live streamed on Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook page beginning at 1:00PM Friday. Private Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery. JoAnn’s grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.

A Private Visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to Double Springs Baptist Church, 770 KY Hwy 3276, Waynesburg, KY 40489.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to current restrictions, masks must be worn by all in attendance for the Private Visitation and the Funeral Service; and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
