Jimmy Ray, age 68, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed peacefully Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his residence after a long, hard fought battle. Born Saturday, December 1, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Ray and the late Maxine Faye (Estes) Bryant. His loving wife, whom he married Saturday, September 18, 2010, is Connie (Bell) Ray of Waynesburg. Jimmy was retired from Norfolk Southern, where he worked for 37½ years. Jimmy loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, spending time with his wife, and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, Jimmy leaves behind two sons, John Ray (Felicia) of Junction City, Kentucky, and Chris Ray of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Kali Ray, Flynn Ray, and Wilder Ray; one great-grandson, Mason Maples; and two brothers, Jackie Ray of Stanford, Kentucky; and Eddie Ray of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cremation Rites have been honored. A Public Graveside Memorial Service, celebrating Jimmy's life, will take place 1:00PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 at McKinney Cemetery. Bro. David Gambrel will officiate the service.
