Jessica Richardson

Jessica Richardson, age 37, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 9, 2025, with her loved ones by her side after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.  Born Monday, May 25, 1987, in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Dennis Ray & Janet Patterson Stringer of Kings Mountain.  Her loving husband, whom she married Saturday, March 2, 2019, is Josh Richardson of Kings Mountain.  Jessica was a 2005 graduate of Lincoln County High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Engineering.  Jessica worked as an engineer for the Kentucky Department of Transportation.  Jessica was a Godly wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was a member of Family Worship Center in Waynesburg, Kentucky, and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jessica leaves behind one son, Raylan Richardson of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Ellie Richardson of Kings Mountain; one brother, Jason Stringer (Tiffanie) of Eubank, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Juanita Carman of the Walltown Community; mother-in-law, Susan Phillippe (David) of Russell Springs, Kentucky; father-in-law, Mark Richardson (Cheryl) of Liberty, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Jessica Gossage (Jim) of Windsor, Kentucky, and Ashley Dial of Liberty; one brother-in-law, Chase Dial (Tiffany) of Liberty; nieces and nephews, Kaeden, Skylar, Paisley, and Kylie Stringer, Eli and Sam Gossage, Blake Wethington, Autumn Wesley, and Khloie Dial; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

Jessica was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Cleo and Martha Patterson; and paternal grandfather, Elvin Stringer.

Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Sunday, January 12, 2025, and 11AM-1PM Monday, January 13, 2025, at Family Worship Center 12130 US Hwy 27, Waynesburg, KY 40489.

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, at the church.  Pastor Steve Gates will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Jessica’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Falconbury Cemetery in Kings Mountain.  Larry Patterson, Jr., Doug Haney, Richard Avera, Chad Tyner, Michael Richardson, and Matt Richardson will serve as Active Pallbearers.
