Jeanetta (Cochran) Allen, age 93, of Waynesburg, passed away at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital, Saturday, August 10, 2024. Born Monday, November 17, 1930, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Tommy and Mary (Peyton) Cochran. Her Husband, who she married on February 29, 1948, was Junior Allen.
Jeanetta worked outside the home for 14 years at Cowden’s and was a homemaker for a number of years. She loved going to church, reading her Bible, quilting, and going places with her children and grandchildren.
Jeanette is survived by her Eight Children: sons, David Allen, Darrell Allen (Diane), Danny Allen (Karen), Dean Allen (Theresa) all of Waynesburg; daughters, Rosalee Smith ( David) of Junction, Barbara Carman (Randall) of Kings Mountain, Nina Griffin (Ray), and Pam Hubble (Preston) both of Waynesburg; Eleven Grandchildren, Melissa Wood, Brandy Bonin, Jonathan Denny, Kristie Carmicle, Kimberly Long, Becky Yocum, Jeffery Allen, Jordan Griffin, Brittany Shockley, Emily Allison, and Justin Hubble; Eight Step Grandchildren, Twenty-Two Great Grandchildren; Twenty-Five Step Grandchildren, Seven Great-Great Grandchildren; and Twenty-Five Step Great-Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Allen; one Grandson, Daniel Allen; one Great Granddaughter Brianna Denny and one Brother, Shirley Cochran.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Rick Naylor and Bro. Prentice Hubble officiating the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Jeanetta’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. Burial will follow in the Tapscott Cemetery. Jeffery Allen, Jordan Griffin, Justin Hubble, Brandon Long, Nathaniel Carman and Zachary Carman will serve as Active Pallbearers.
