Janice Elaine Johnson

Janice Elaine Johnson, age 76, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 7, 2023, at her home.  Born Monday, January 13, 1947, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Estil & Lillian Elwanda Pumphrey Johnson.  Janice previously worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach in Somerset and Danville, Kentucky.  Janice loved animals, flowers, gardening, and weed eating.

Janice leaves behind one brother, Roger Johnson of Kings Mountain; two sisters, Ruth Goode (Harold) of Stanford, Kentucky, and Deborah Johnson of Kings Mountain; nieces and nephews, Jamie Goode (Kristy), Katie Goode, Logan Johnson (Bethany), Zachary Johnson (April Crowe), and Christopher Johnson (Samantha McCarthy); great nieces and nephews, April Goode, Jamin Goode, Harley Weddle, and Harper Henize; and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, at the funeral Home.  Bro. David Gambrel will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Janice’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in Sims Cemetery on Robertstown Road in Kings Mountain.
