Janice Durham Selby

Janice Durham Selby, age 72, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Fort Myers.  Born Monday, October 16, 1950, in Stanford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Hurl & Ila Powell Durham.  Janice was the widow of the late William Ray “Dooney” Selby, Jr., whom she married Friday, February 9, 1990, and preceded her in death Sunday, January 13, 2008.  Janice retired as an Office Administrator with Edward Jones.  Janice was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith, in which she was very active in her faith.  In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling.

Janice leaves behind one son, Jason Bice of Ohio; 8 grandsons; five great-grandchildren; four step-brothers, Joe Crain (Robin) of Stanford, Jeffrey C. Ralston (Terrie) of Stanford, Thomas A. Ralston (Jane Dreidame) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Stephen W. Ralston (Haley) of Stanford; one step-sister, Jo Ann Cooper (Earl) of Stanford; special friends, Eric & Maria Wyatt of Fort Myers, Edith Dean of Stanford, and Rhonda Cassiday Glaser of Louisville, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Janice was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Bice; one daughter, Trisha Rehmel; one grandson; one sister, Patricia Goins; and one step-sister, Margaret English.

A Public Graveside Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, October 23, 2023, at the shelter of Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Brother Randy Johnson will officiate the service.  Burial will immediately follow the service.
