James Robert Coffman

James Robert Coffman, age 86, of McKinney, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 20, 2025.  Born Saturday, January 28, 1939, in the Ellisburg community of Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank & Annie (Mondie) Coffman.  His loving wife, whom he married Saturday, October 3, 1970, is Ethel Marie (Campbell) Coffman of McKinney.  James previously worked at a sawmill and was a farm hand.  James loved to play the guitar and loved to garden.

In addition to his wife, James leaves behind one brother-in-law, Gary Campbell of McKinney; three sisters-in-law, Dollie Brown, Mary Elliott, and Shirley Campbell of the Geneva community of Lincoln County, Kentucky; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by one half-brother, Andy Coffman; four sisters, Ethel Baker, Marie Harrison, Mary Benham, and Margie Coffman; one half-sister, Shirley Coleman; father and mother-in-law, Virgil Melvin & Bonnie Christine (Hodge) Campbell; one sister-in-law, Lona Coleman; four brothers-in-law, Virgil David Campbell, Elwood Jackson Campbell, Sammy Campbell (infant), and Edward Campbell (infant); and two brothers-in-law by marriage, Willie “Bill” Brown and Clay Elliott.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, August 22, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Friday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Mike Yocum will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Dravin Benjamin, Harvey Benjamin, Henry Keith, Willard Dean Elliott, Steve Moore, and Tyler Burton will serve as Active Pallbearers.
