James L. "Jimmy" Cowan Obituary

James L. “Jimmy” Cowan, age 69, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 28, 2022. Born Monday, July 14, 1952, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late David & Margaret Pleasants Cowan. Jimmy was a member of Hebron Lakeside Church and enjoyed going to the Lincoln County Senior Citizens Center. Jimmy enjoyed collecting coins and arrowheads. Jimmy leaves behind one nephew, Danny Lynn (Bridgette) of Stanford; two great-nieces, Ally Lynn and Tinley Lynn; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a close sister, Nancy A. Cowan Lynn.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, at the funeral home. Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service. The funeral service will be livestreamed on Jimmy’s memorial page, on Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s website: https://www.friendfuneralhomes.com/obituary/JamesLJimmy-Cowan

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Brandon Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Farris Marcum, Scott Maples, Eli Pleasants, and Peyton Pleasants will serve as Active Pallbearers. Judy Gilbert, George W. Pleasants, and Jeff Eldridge will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
