James Kenneth Owens, age 88, of Casey County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. Born August 3, 1936, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Wallace & Olene Estes Owens. Kenneth retired as a factory inspector. Kenneth enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, traveling, and was an avid collector of many things.
Kenneth leaves behind his wife, Geneva “Nevie” Lynn Owens of Casey County; two daughters, Debra E. Venable (Bob) of West Carrollton, Ohio, and Cynthia D. Arnwine of Largo, Florida; one granddaughter, Cynsonya Wallace of Germantown, Ohio; one sister, Phyllis “Sweetie” Hodges of Sun City Center, Florida; his blended family members, step-daughter, Barbara Collins (Buddy) of Elmwood, Ohio; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by one sister, Stella Brown; one son-in-law, Rusty Arnwine; and blended family member, step-son Ronald “Ronnie” Lynn.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, April 4, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home in Stanford, Kentucky.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Friday, at the funeral home. Chaplain Tim Ogle will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery in Casey County.
