James Clinton Singleton

October 15, 1935 – March 8, 2023

James Clinton (Zeke, J.C.) Singleton, age 87, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

James leaves behind Betty, his beloved wife of 64 years, and three children: Darrell (Rosa) Singleton, Sharon (Bill) Gannaway, and Duane (Kathi) Singleton. 

Eight grandchildren grieve the loss of “Pa”:  Jacob (Rebecca) Gannaway, Jenna Gannaway (Kyle Bartels), Sarah Burns (Andy Cope), Benjamin Gannaway (Julia Stanley), Joshua Singleton (Britanni Biehn), Kyle (Samantha) Gannaway, Brian (Bridgette) Singleton and Matthew (Amy) Gannaway.

James was blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Micah & Elliana Gannaway, Ava Burns, Lilah & Arthur Gannaway, Emma Singleton, and Eri Gannaway.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennie & Margie Singleton; his sister, Florence (Singleton) Wright and nephew, Jamie Wright.

He will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

A public visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home, 545 KY Hwy 328 West, Waynesburg, KY 40489, with the funeral service at 1:30 PM.

Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service and the burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
