Irene M. Elliott

Irene M. Elliott, age 71, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 31, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.  Born Tuesday, June 2, 1953, in Stanford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Bud & Marie Harris Martin.  Her loving husband, whom she married Saturday, September 25, 1971, is Gary G. Elliott of Crab Orchard.  Irene worked as an LPN, for 28 years, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.  She was a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church, enjoyed collecting dolls, camping, playing cards and Sunday family get-togethers. 

In addition to her husband, Irene leaves behind one son, Galen Elliott (Audrey) of Crab Orchard; three grandsons, Cody Elliott of Crab Orchard, Coleby Elliott (Heather) of Danville, Kentucky, and Madison Elliott (Julie) of Stanford; two great-grandchildren, Mellany Elliott and Emilia Elliott; one brother, Dallas Martin (Lisa) of Crab Orchard; one sister, Pat Riley (Thomas) of Stanford; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Martin and Donnie Martin; and one infant sister, Magdalene Martin. 

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-12PM Monday, November 4, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 12:00PM Monday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Wayne Oaks & Bro. Dan Gutenson will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Irene’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Crab Orchard Cemetery.  Galen Elliott, Wayne Oaks, Cody Elliott, Coleby Elliott, Madison Elliott, Gregoree Oaks, Robbie Martin, and Jimmy Martin will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Ricky Martin, Dicky Elliott, J.R. Martin, Hailee Smail, Saidee Rouse and Jessica Farris will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
