Idaerle Smyth Phinney

Idaerle Smyth Phinney, age 74, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Saturday, March 11, 1950, in Elba, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Oren & Myrtle Sue Hutchinson Smyth.  Ida previously worked at BPI in Stanford, and previously volunteered at the Garrard County Senior Center-Adult Day BGCAP in Lancaster, Kentucky. 

Ida leaves behind five children, Jimmy McCool of Nashville, Tennessee, Tony Anthony McCool of Lexington, Kentucky, Jason Scott McCool of Stanford, Ginger Barton (Chris) of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Keith Phinney of Lawrenceburg; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Killian of Stanford; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

Cremation Rites have been honored.

A Public Graveside Memorial Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, January 20, 2025, at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.  Burial will follow the service.
