Hubert N. Robertson

Hubert N. Robertson, age 96, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  Born Wednesday, June 6, 1928, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late French & Mary C. Robirds Robertson.  Hubert was the widower of the late Martha Salyers Robertson, whom he married Saturday, April 23, 1949, and preceded him in death Sunday, March 8, 2020.  Hubert retired as an Electrician with the union and was a member of the IBEW Local #183.  Hubert attended Pleasant View Baptist Church, was a Kentucky Colonel and loved fishing and camping.   

Hubert leaves behind one son, Ron Robertson of Waynesburg; two grandsons, Chad Robertson (Joy) of Eubank, Kentucky, and Shaun Robertson (Kelly) of Waynesburg; four great-grandchildren, Garrett Robertson, Kaegan Robertson, Gabby Robertson, and Carson Robertson; one sister, Velma Phillippe of Stanford; and several nephews, nieces, and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Hubert was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Leroy Robertson; and sisters, Hazel Fight, Edath Gooch, Roxie Buckler, Clara Thompson, Goldie Osborne, Ruth Barchus, and Sylvia Foley. 

A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Friday, October 4, 2024, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.   

A Public Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the funeral home.  Bro. Josh Vanhook will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Hubert’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in K.P. Hall Cemetery.  Chad Robertson, Shaun Robertson, Kaegan Robertson, Gilbert Gooch, Thomas Godbey, Jr., and Randy Fight will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Garrett Robertson, Gabby Robertson, Carson Robertson, Larry Fight, and David Conner will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
