Hollis M. Carrier, age 87, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025. Born Monday, February 28, 1938, in Washington County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Marvin & Gracie Bugg Carrier. Hollis was the widower of the late Patsy Jean Noel Carrier, whom he married in 1964, and preceded him in death Sunday, September 4, 2005. Hollis was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Hollis was a factory worker and farmer. Hollis loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hollis leaves behind one son, Troy Carrier (Becky) of Stanford; five grandchildren, Matthew Carrier (Jacqueline Smither), Hollie Clements (Dustin), Tiffany Varvel, Dustin Varvel, and Cory Carney (Kristin); seven great-grandchildren, Autumn Clements, Brooklyn Rood, Breanna Rood, Aiden Varvel, Michael Varvel, Callie Varvel, and Lucas Carney; and daughter-in-law, Theresa Carrier of Stanford.
In addition to his wife and parents, Hollis was preceded in death by one son, Trevor Carrier; one great-granddaughter, Aurora Clements; and one brother, Joe Carrier.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Wednesday, at the funeral home. Bro. Steve Willingham will officiate the service.
Burial, with Full Military Honors, will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Shane Carrier, Matthew Carrier, Cory Carney, Dustin Clements, Michael Varvel, and Dustin Varvel will serve as Active Pallbearers. Bobby Dietrich and Aiden Varvel will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
