Herman Lee Adams, age 75, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at his home. Born Sunday, January 22, 1950, in Somerset, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Coy & Ida (Caudill) Adams. Herman retired, after 20 years of work (1976-1996), from Norfolk Southern Railroad Company. Herman enjoyed politicking, spraying weeds and drinking RC Cola and “yellow cans”.
Herman leaves behind one son, Issaac Drew Adams of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Ida Denise Pilcher (Daniel) of Kings Mountain; two grandchildren, Lillian Pilcher and Bennett Pilcher of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Bruce Adams (Barbara) of Richmond, Kentucky, Troy Adams (Ann) of Crossville, Tennessee, and Billy Adams (Bonnie) of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Betty Ratcliff (Harold) of Eubank, Kentucky; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Adams.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Saturday, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Friendship Old Regular Baptist Cemetery. Daniel Pilcher, Tim Pilcher, Bobby Webb, Julian Wall, Donnie Reynolds, and Chris Bratcher will serve as Active Pallbearers. Perry Webb and Jerry Reynolds will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
