Harold Raymond Tokle, age 96, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Friday, May 2, 2025, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Thursday, April 11, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Aslak “Alf” & Benny Elizabeth (Churva-Johnson) Tokle. Harold was the widower of the late Eleanor Tokle, whom he married Sunday, July 7, 1957, and preceded him in death Saturday, October 23, 2021. Harold was a US Army WWII Veteran, who actively served October 1, 1946-September 10, 1949 with the 11th Airborne Division. Harold retired as a mechanical engineer from IBM after 70 plus years, and was a member of the Danville Seventh Day Adventist.
Harold leaves behind one son, Harold R. Tokle, Jr. (Rhonda) of Crab Orchard; two daughters, Andrea Miller (Jay) of Stanford, Kentucky, and Laura Lynne Biestek (Dennis Gagnon) of Wallingford, Connecticut; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his wife and parents, Harold was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Arnold Tokle.
A Public Visitation will be held 3-5PM Monday, May 5, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 5PM Monday, at the funeral home. Dr. Jay Miller will officiate the service.
Harold Tokle, Jr., Jay Miller, Dennis Gagnon, Josh Miller, James Miller, Eric Pearl, Brett Biestek, Jeff Biestek, Brad Betack, Justin Spady, and Jarris Perkins will serve as Pallbearers.
Full Military Honors will follow the funeral service.
Following all services, Cremation Rites will be honored.
