Gary Donald Ferrell

Gary Donald Ferrell, age 89, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Stanford, Kentucky.  Born Thursday, February 11, 1932 in Stanford, he was the son of the late Bartley B. & Lucy Bell Gaunce Ferrell.  Gary was the widower of the late Glenda Faye Benge Ferrell, who preceded him in death Tuesday, February 14, 2017.  Gary was the owner and mechanic of the Gulf Service Station in Crab Orchard, for many years.  Gary enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, growing fruit trees, and farming, in his spare time.

Gary leaves behind one daughter, Sherry Naylor (Andrew) of Stanford; one step-son, Michael Wayne Padgett (Dana Lee) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; one step-daughter, Karen McWhorter (Larry) of Hustonville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Victoria Jade Slusher, Sadie Makena Naylor, and Adrianna Lynn Naylor; three step-grandchildren, Korey McWhorter (Tiffany), Hayden Padgett, Landon Padgett; one step great-grandson, Maverick McWhorter; sister-in-law, Jeannie Elder of Brodhead, Kentucky; special niece, Kim Taylor of Crab Orchard; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Gary was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert Ferrell and Edward Ferrell; and three sisters, Dorothy Gooch, Gladys Campbell, and Shirley Price.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial, with Military Honors, will be at Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Crab Orchard.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID -19 regulations, face coverings must be worn by all in attendance for the Public Visitation and the Funeral Service; and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
