Evey Hurst Saylor

Evey Hurst Saylor, age 103, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, formerly of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, in West Bloomfield.  Born Thursday, April 22, 1920, in Cawood, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Emerson & Alpha Sturgill Hurst.  She was the widow of the late John A. Saylor, who preceded her in death Sunday, December 28, 1997.  Evey was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.  Evey loved spending time with her family and was well-known for her delicious biscuits and gravy. 

Evey leaves behind one son, Robert Randall Saylor of West Bloomfield; 21 grandchildren; numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Evey was preceded in death by three sons, Arbie Lee Saylor, John A. Saylor, Jr., and Marshall Wayne Saylor; one daughter, Freida Ann Harper; several grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Monday, July 17, 2023, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Jason Coulter will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on her memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
