Essie Brown

Essie Brown, age 88, of Hustonville, Kentucky, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Tuesday, May 9, 1933, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Rube & Lily Owens Brown.  Essie retired from Central Baptist Hospital, where she was an RN and Director of Nursing.  Essie’s passion was golf.  Essie loved her family, enjoyed arts and crafts, loved to garden, and loved to travel.  Education was very important to her. 

Essie leaves behind one sister, Jean P. Brown of Hustonville; two special great-nieces, Jeanna Taylor of Hustonville and Stephanie Taylor of Waynesburg, Kentucky; several other great-great nieces and nephews; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Essie was preceded in death by one niece, Reba Green.

A Public Graveside Service will be held 12PM Monday, October 25, 2021, at the shelter of Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Bro. Gary Yocum will officiate the service.  Burial will immediately follow the service.
