Elton D. Beedy

Elton D. Beedy, age 85, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Tuesday, April 24, 1934 in Tribune, Kansas, he was the son of the late Harm & LaVaughn Hill Beedy.  His loving wife, whom he married Sunday, August 31, 1958, is Julia “Judy” Wilson Beedy of Stanford.  Elton was a US Army Veteran and was a farmer.  Elton was a member of the Church of Christ in Scott City, Kansas, enjoyed gardening, woodworking, building furniture, rebuilding tractors, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Elton leaves behind three sons, Harmon Beedy of Stanford, William Scott Beedy (Lynn Faith) of Garrard County, Kentucky, and Neno Beedy of Stanford; one daughter, Etta Mae Correll (Stephen Ray) of Stanford; five grandchildren, Matthew Correll (Amber), Logan Correll, and Dalton Correll all of Stanford, Brittany Beedy and Kelsey Beedy of Garrard County; three great-grandchildren, Eli Martin, Bella Correll, and Tristan Correll; two brothers, Leon Beedy (Theresa) of Salina, Kansas, and Hughie Beedy (Elaine) of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, LaWanna Webb (Carl) of Wichita; one half-brother, Dwayne Beedy of California; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Elton was preceded in death by one infant son, Mark Beedy; and one brother, Veriland Beedy.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Parton officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Harmon Beedy, Scott Beedy, Stephen Correll, Logan Correll, Dalton Correll, and Matthew Correll will serve as Active Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Thursday at the funeral home.
