Douglas Franklin "Doug" Willoughby

Douglas Franklin “Doug” Willoughby, age 60, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at his residence. Born Thursday, September 1, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son to the late James Franklin Share and the late Mary Louise Willoughby. His loving wife, whom he married Friday, October 26, 2001, is Barbara Greer Willoughby of Stanford. Doug was a manager/scheduler for the service department at Tarter Gate Company for 12 ½ years. He enjoyed fishing and loved to make things with paracord.

In addition to his wife, Doug leaves behind two daughters, Andrea Riggs of Boyle County, Kentucky and Lori Ann Shadduck (J.D.) of Oak Island, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, James Phelps, Jacob Phelps, Jeremy Smith, Victoria Edwards (Jake), Shelby Smith, Emmalee Munsey and Barbara Ellen Smith; and eight great grandchildren, Noah Phelps, Hayleigh Rose Phelps, Price Aaron Smith, Reed Oliver Smith, Marshall Cole Edwards, Clayton Wayne Edwards, Liam Clark Goodman and Bristol Laine Lanham.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by one son, Grover Carl “GG” Smith.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, March 5, 2021 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Shelby Roy Hopkins officiating the service. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Raymond Wright, Bob Brown, Kelly Tarter, Willie Sleet, Larry Reynolds and Lester Greer will serve as Active Pallbearers. Doug’s grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of his friends from Tarter Industries will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The Public Funeral Service will be live streamed on Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
