Dorothy Kay Jenkins

Dorothy Kay Jenkins, age 70, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Stanford Crossing.  Born Tuesday, November 22, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Minks and the late Leetta Brewer Coffman.  Dorothy was the widow of the late Russell Edward Jenkins, whom she married Saturday, February 14, 1987, and preceded her in death Saturday, May 3, 2014.  Dorothy retired from Lifeline, where she worked as a nursing assistant.  Dorothy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, loved flowers and birds, and enjoyed watching her favorite television shows.

Dorothy leaves behind four daughters, Samantha Moore (Derick) of Stanford, Dedi Rohrich (Jamie) of Williamsburg, Ohio, Laura Walls (Evan) of Somerset, Kentucky, and Kisha O’Madden (Martin) of Walton, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Cole Shelton, Abby Walls, Sammy Moore, Connor Walls, Caleb Walls, TJ Roberts, and Brianna Roberts; one brother, John Minks of Williamstown, Kentucky; two sisters, Vera Antrobus of Owenton, Kentucky, and Betty Jo McClanahan of Williamstown; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, James Allen and Mark Allen.

Cremation Rites Honored. 

A Public Gathering will be held 1-2PM Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the shelter of Highland Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky. 

A Public Celebration of Life will begin at 2PM Thursday, at the shelter.  Bro. Jeremy Pope will officiate the service. 

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
