Doris M. Schaller

Doris M. Schaller, age 97, of Stanford, Kentucky, formerly of Findlay, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at her home.  Born Tuesday, January 4, 1927, in Finley, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Myrtle Lather Barnhart.  Doris was the widow of the late Harold C. Schaller, whom she married Sunday, January 5, 1947, and preceded her in death Friday, April 6, 2012.  Doris retired, as an LPN, from Johnson County Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.  Doris loved carpentry.  In fact, she and her husband built almost every home in which they lived throughout their marriage.  Doris and her husband also enjoyed camping and traveling the United States in the RV.

Doris leaves behind two daughters, Cydia Stover (Donald) of Washington, Missouri, and Melinda Humble (Ronald) of Stanford; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by one sister, Della Dieter.

Cremation Rites have been honored.  A Private Burial will take place, at a later date, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Finley, Ohio.
