Donald "Jan" Fish

Donald “Jan” Fish, age 66, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024.  Born Monday, February 25, 1957, in Stanford, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James Fish and Justine Newcomb Frost.  His loving wife, whom he married Saturday, November 26, 1983, is Kathy Bruner Fish.  Jan worked, for over 40 years, as a telecommunication cable splicer.  Jan loved his family and his job.  He was of the Baptist faith, was a big UK sports fan, enjoyed watching westerns, and loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

Jan leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy Fish; two sons, Tyler and Hunter Fish; mom, Justine Frost; one brother, Tim Fish (Angela); one sister, Sherry Green; four nephews; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

Jan was preceded in death by his father, James Fish; and one nephew.

A Public Visitation will be held 12-2PM Friday, January 5, 2024, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Friday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Parlor Grove Cemetery.  Tyler Fish, Hunter Fish, Tim Fish, Kenny Bruner, Brent Jones, and Lee Burton will serve as Active Pallbearers. 

Memorial Contributions suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
