Don Stewart Martin, age 53, of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born Wednesday, May 5, 1971, in Lancaster, Kentucky, he was the son of Linda “Dean” Brown Martin of Stanford and the late Larry Stewart Martin. His loving wife, whom he married July 21, 2001, is Erica May Martin of Harrodsburg. Don was the owner of Epik Demolition in Harrodsburg. Don was recently baptized at Green River Pentecostal Church. Don enjoyed trading horses and was a talented guitar player. Don loved spending time with his family and will be remembered for being a jokester.
In addition to his wife and mother, Don leaves behind three daughters, Kacey Dawn Hale (Tyler) of Stanford, Karey Ann Cress of Stanford, and Hallie May Martin of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren, Isabella Hale, Patience Norman, Camryn Hale, Parker Norman, Mason Hale, and Emberly Cress; one sister, Martina Brown (Jeff) of the Geneva community; mother and father-in-law, Tim & Tammy May of Lancaster; brothers-in-law, Wesley May of Stanton, Kentucky, and Caleb Major (Morgan) of Lancaster; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
Don was preceded in death by his father.
Public Visitations will be held 5-8 PM Sunday, July 14, 2024, and 11AM-1PM Monday, July 15, 2024, at Green River Pentecostal Church.
The Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, at the church. Bro. Rick Naylor and Bro. Jason Coulter will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Green River Church’s Facebook page and Don’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Waylon Brown, Brian Allen, Randy Mayes, Timmy Brummett, Caleb Major, Cody Martin, Lonnie Brown, and Wesley May will serve as Active Pallbearers. Jimmy Tillett, Jason Coulter, and Dennis Woods will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
