Dessie Marie (Rowe) Carrier

Dessie Marie Rowe Carrier, age 77, of the Highland Community of Lincoln County, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky. Born Monday, February 14, 1944 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, she was the daughter to the late William Gilbert and Mattie Jane Renner Rowe. Her loving husband is Eugene Carrier of Stanford, Kentucky. Dessie attended Stanford Church of Christ. She loved to help milk and loved flowers.

In addition to her husband, Dessie leaves behind two step daughters, Sandy Hubbard (Lanny) of Stanford and Donna Blough (Dennis) of Michigan; two step grandchildren, Michael Hubbard of Waynesburg and Denny Blough of Michigan; one brother, Floyd Rowe (Juanita) of Ottenheim, Kentucky; two sisters, Ella Wilder of Hustonville, Kentucky and Lois Preston of Danville, Kentucky; special nephew, Jimmy Kersey (Jill) of Hustonville; and several nieces, nephews and other family members that mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Dessie was preceded in death by one step grandchild, Robbie Hubbard; two brothers, Walker and Henry Rowe; and one sister, Hazel Lucas.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, March 8, 2021 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Louie Hammons and Shelby Roy Hopkins officiating the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Jimmy Kersey, Dennis Blough, Lanny Hubbard, Michael Hubbard, Mark Rowe and Randy Rowe will serve as Active Pallbearers. In memory of the late Robbie Hubbard and special friends of Stanford Church of Christ will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Monday, March 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to Stanford Church of Christ and the Mt. Moriah Cemetery Fund.
