Denny C. Hogue

Denny C. Hogue, age 78, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky, with his loved ones by his side.  Born July 29, 1947, in Danville, he was the son of the late Herston Denny & Doris Coyle Hogue.  Denny was a U.S. Army Veteran, who actively served his country June 28, 1970-February 27, 1972.  Denny previously own

ed and operated Hogue Construction Company and was a skilled excavator. Denny was an integral part of D&H Motorsports, which began in the 1960s, and later helped develop CoHo Racing with his high school friend, Jon Collins.  Denny was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and local short track racing fan.  Denny was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Denny previously served on the Lincoln County School Board, was Chairman of the Lincoln County 911 Board, and served as member of the Lincoln County Senior Citizen Board.  He was also a Lincoln County High School Patriots fan.

Denny is survived by his wife, whom he married Friday, November 27, 2015, Gail Tillett Hogue, of Waynesburg; six children, Alison Hogue of Lexington, Kentucky, Aaron Hogue (Kelly) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Hayley Litteral (Austin) of Hustonville, Kentucky, Adaline Malone (Jacob) of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Aaron Psimer (Darcey) of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Jonathan Psimer (Paige) of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Trevor Adams, Connor Adams, Clay Hogue, Jenna Hogue, Gabbie Adams, Kate Hogue, Susanna Hogue, and Jacob Milberger; one sister, Vicki Kinnaird (Kenny) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Monday, June 29, 2026, and 9-11AM Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Pleasant View Baptist Church. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 11AM Tuesday, at the church.  Bro. Aaron Hogue & Bro. Scott Hughes will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Denny’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial, with Full Military Honors, will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.  Trevor Adams, Connor Adams, Clay Hogue, John Cook, Jeff McWhorter, and Rob Adams will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Kenny Kinnaird and Bill Dodds will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
