Delma Jean Estes, 74, of Eubank, KY, passed from this life to her Heavenly home Monday May 24, 2021, at her residence. Delma Jean was born on Friday, August 30, 1946, in Letcher County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Creed and Martha Hall Rogers.
Delma Jean was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, Dale Estes and a son-in-law, SSGT Craig Evans.
Delma Jean is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ernest Estes of Eubank; a daughter, Sarah Evans of Richmond, Kentucky; and a son, David Falconberry of Eubank; step-daughter, Debra (Jeff) Woodard; and a step-daughter-in-Law, Nikki (Bill) Barker all of Ohio; grandsons, Johnathan Evans of Knoxville, Tennessee and Caleb Creed Evans of New Orleans, Louisiana; granddaughters, Katelyn Evans of Richmond and Hallie Shivel of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; as well as step-grandchildren, Amanda (Brent) Anderson, Jeffrey (Daye) Woodard Jr., Daniel (Brittany) Estes, Derek (Suzanna) Estes, and Ashley (Tyler) Brown all of Ohio; 15 great-grandchildren all of Ohio; as well as many nieces, nephews, and wonderful extended family and friends.
Delma Jean was retired from Waynesburg Rest Home, where she worked for 27 years. She was a member of Newell Church of God in Eubank. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, and watching Perry Mason.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-12PM Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will begin at 12:00PM Saturday at the funeral home. Bro. Bobby Cole will be officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed on Barnett Demrow & Friend Funeral Home Facebook page.
Private Burial will be in Cress Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Johnathan Evans, Caleb Evans, Landon Woodard, Derek Estes, Kevin Stephens, and Donald Whitaker.
