Debbie (Carpenter) Todd

Debbie Todd, age 64, of Stanford, Kentucky, completed her long-fought battle from this life Wednesday, July 8, 2026, and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Born Thursday, August 24, 1961, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Garland Edward & Katherine Louise Moore Carpenter.  Her loving husband of 46 years, whom she married Saturday, February 16, 1980, is Larry Todd of Stanford.   For the past 33 years, Debbie has devoted her life to being principal of the Redemption Road Christian Academy.  Throughout her career, she was able to have a Godly impact on many of the students’ who attended and graduated from the academy.  Debbie was also a faithful member of Redemption Road Church.  She enjoyed traveling with her family and collecting/reading Amish books.

In addition to her husband, Debbie leaves behind one son, Matthew Todd of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter, Ashley Tackett (Joe) of Stanford; two granddaughters, Jacy Tackett and Harper Tackett of Stanford; two sisters, Kim Durham (Keith) of Liberty, Kentucky, and Jessica Payton (Robbie) of McKinney, Kentucky; one niece, Natalie Payton of McKinney; one nephew, Hunter Payton (Kelsey) of McKinney; all of her past and present school children, whom she thought of as her own; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Sunday, July 12, 2026, and 11AM-1PM Monday, July 13, 2026, at Redemption Road Church. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Monday, at the church.  Bro. Gary Yocom & Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Debbie’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Bro. Thomas Hogue will officiate the Graveside Service.  Hunter Payton, Caleb Todd, Blake Whittemore, Jordan Tackett, Jamie Tillett, Judah Yocom, Robbie Payton, Keith Durham, and Tom Terry will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Sister Veronica Yocom and all past and present school children at the Redemption Road Christian Academy will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
