David E. Allen, age 76, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his brother's home in Waynesburg. Born Monday, March 21, 1949, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Johnny “Junior” & Jeanetta (Cochran) Allen. David previously worked at the casket company and owned a junkyard. David loved hot rod cars and loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was of the Pentecostal/Holiness faith.
David leaves behind one daughter, Brandy Allen Bonin (Jessie) of Cleveland, Texas; three grandchildren, Danyelle Owens (Johnny) of Conroe, Texas, Kristina Owens (Charlie) of Conroe, and Morgan Owens (Britney) of Huntsville, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Rylee Rae Jayroe, Bradan Bonin, Brooklyn Curbey, Baylee Curbey, and Jase McGee; three brothers, Darrell Allen (Diane), Danny Allen (Karen), and Dean Allen (Theresa) all of Waynesburg; four sisters, Rosalee Smith of Pulaski County, Kentucky, Barbara Carman (Randall) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Nina Griffin (Ray) of Waynesburg, and Pam Hubble (Preston) of Waynesburg; and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one infant son, Daniel Earl Allen.
A Public Visitation will be held 12PM-1PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Wednesday, at the funeral home. Bro. Prentice Hubble & Bro. Kerry Jones will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on David’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial will follow in Parlor Grove Cemetery. Morgan Owens, Ray Griffin, Preston Hubble, Jordan Griffin, Justin Hubble, and Little Hulie Leach will serve as Active Pallbearers.
