Danny Wayne Wilson

Danny Wayne Wilson, age 67, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 18, 2025.  Born Saturday, March 15, 1958, in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, he was the son of Shirley Irene (Howard) Wilson and the late Robert William Wilson.  Danny was a skilled cabinet maker, loved being outdoors with his wife and children: hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking; and was a talented musician.  Danny loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.  He attended Apostolic Pentecostal Church and Southern Heights Community Church in Danville, Kentucky. 

In addition to his mother, Danny leaves behind his wife, Judie (Fanai) Wilson; one son, Brandon Wilson (Mary) of Danville; one daughter, Renee Wilson of Danville; seven grandchildren, Taryn Penman, Ayden Hafley, Kelvin Wayne Wilson, McKenzie Tyner Wilson, Malia Blackwell, Joshua Blackwell, and Noah Blackwell; three sisters, Marilyn Taylor (BJ) of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Anna Ruckel (Jeff) of Waynesburg, and Tina Goode (Gene) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and several extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, October 24, 2025, at Journey Community Church. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Friday, at the church.  Pastor Brandon Wilson and Pastor Wayne Naylor will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Danny’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
