Corine Padgett Thompson

Corine Padgett Thompson, age 85, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Stanford, Kentucky.  Born Thursday, May 4, 1939, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Virgil & Edith Jacobs Padgett.  Corine was the widow of the late Roby F. Thompson, whom she married Sunday, July 21, 1963, and preceded her in death Friday, October 15, 1993.  Corine was a homemaker and member of Miracle Temple Church.  Corine loved to talk and enjoyed life to the fullest. 

Corine leaves behind two sons, Rick Thompson of Waynesburg and Bryan Thompson of Cartersville, Kentucky; one brother, Clayton Padgett (Pat) of Stanford; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband and parents, Corine was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill Padgett, Dee Padgett, Glen Padgett, and Claudie Padgett. 

A Public Visitation will be held 12PM-2PM Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.

Following the Visitation, a Public Graveside Service will be held at Double Springs Cemetery.  Burial will immediately follow the service.
