Connie Correll Waldroup, age 70, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 23, 2025, in Danville, Kentucky. Born Friday, November 19, 1954, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Correll and the late Evelyn Jenkins Correll Terry. Connie retired from McDowell Home Health, where she worked in Medical Supplies and Billing. In the past year, Connie worked at Stanford H&R Block office. Connie loved her grandchildren dearly and loved spending time with her family and friends. Connie also enjoyed traveling with her Corvette friends. She was a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
Connie leaves behind one son, Douglas Scott Waldroup (Mandy Jo) of Eubank, Kentucky; one daughter, Donna Waldroup Henderson (Joey) of Stanford; two grandsons, Blake Henderson (Paige Swope) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Hunter Waldroup (Michaela Sebastian) of Eubank; one brother, Kenneth Correll (Jackie) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky; companion, Ron Robertson of Waynesburg, Kentucky; ex-husband and the father of her children, Danny Waldroup of Waynesburg; one uncle, Junior Jenkins (Sue) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two nephews, Brian Correll (Trish) and Richard Correll of Kings Mountain; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by one infant sister, Virginia Lee Correll; and one special friend, Carl Ward.
Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Monday, January 27, 2025, and 9AM-11AM Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
The Public Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, at the church. Bro. Vola Brown & Bro. Gary Parker will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Connie’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Point Cemetery. Doug Waldroup, Blake Henderson, Hunter Waldroup, Brian Correll, Richard Correll, Riley Correll, Judea Correll, and Kevin Jenkins will serve as Active Pallbearers. Connie's Corvette friends will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Following the Graveside Committal, the family will gather for a meal at the fellowship hall of Pleasant Point Baptist Church. If you would like to donate food for the meal, please drop off your food, at the church fellowship hall, during Monday or Tuesday visitation times.
