Brenda Kay (Foster) Buis

Brenda Kay Foster Buis, age 68, of Stanford, Kentucky, was born Monday, July 16, 1956, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to the late Louie and Merlin McDonald Foster. Brenda passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in Stanford, at her residence. She leaves behind her loving husband, Paul Buis, whom she married 50 years ago on Wednesday, August 14, 1974, the day after her high school graduation. Brenda worked in manufacturing before retiring in 2021. She attended Trace Forks Separate Baptist. Brenda was an avid UK fan, she loved to spend time with her family, go to church, work outside, take care of her cats and spend time with her pride and joy- Brantley.

In addition to her husband, Brenda leaves behind her son, PJ Buis; daughter-in-law, Kisha Long Buis; grandson, Brantley Caleb Buis; five sisters, Marlene Wilson (Lowell), Carolyn Friend (Larry), Wanda Graybill (Carl), Abby Grimes, and Rosie Gribbin; one brother, Kalap Foster (Andie); and her best friend, Ann Long.

Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Munday, and her grandmother, Ophelia Foster “Granny Mac.”

The Public Visitation will be held 12-2PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

The Public Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Friday, at the funeral home, with Ricky Buis officiating.

Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, after the service. Brantley Buis, Marty Buis, Dennis Justice, Lucas Simpson, Chris Buis, Roger Wilson, and Cory Wilson will serve as Active Pallbearers. Brenda’s siblings will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
