Bea Staton

Bea Staton, age 92, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her home with her loved ones by her side.  Born Sunday, June 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Ettie Phillippe Shelton.  Bea loved gardening, flowers, working puzzles, knitting, crocheting and dearly loved her Turkeys.  Bea was a member of Pilot Baptist Church.

Bea leaves behind to mourn her passing one son, John Ray Staton of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Karen Allen (Danny) of Stanford, Kentucky and Kathy Schulthies (Carl), of Indianapolis, Indiana; Daughter-In- Law, Carol Spaw of Kings Mountain; 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Kernie Spaw, Kenny Spaw; one daughter, Connie Lee Addington; one brother, Gene Shelton and six sisters, Velma Adington, Mary Caldwell, Bessie Brown, Sarah Ashley, Rubby Higgins, and Ethel Howson.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 6-8:00PM at Barnett, Demrow and Friend Funeral Home. 

The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 1:00PM with Bro. Vola Brown officiating the service.

Burial will follow at Pilot Baptist Church Cemetery.
