Barbara Jean (Pittman) Watkins

Barbara Jean (Pittman) Watkins, age 64, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 19, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.  Born Friday, June 2, 1961, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late George Elvin & Violet (Vaught) Pittman.  Her loving husband, whom she married Wednesday, February 1, 2023, is Billy R. Watkins of Stanford.  Barbara enjoyed sewing, gardening, and baking.  Her greatest joy was being “GiGi” to Bowen, her grandson, and getting to babysit him every day.

In addition to her husband, Barbara leaves behind one daughter, Cierra Pennington (Ryan) of Stanford; one grandson, Bowen Russell Pennington of Stanford; one brother, Benny Ray Pittman of Liberty, Kentucky; and “Aunt Barb” to several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one son, George Nathan Pittman; and two brothers, Ralph Wesley Pittman and Donald Eugene Pittman.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-7PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 11AM Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the funeral home.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Barbara’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.  Cierra Pennington, Ryan Pennington, Jeff McCoy, Sam Hodge, Madilyn Clarkson, Anthony Pittman, Joey Pittman, and Chris Pittman will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Patty McCoy, Paula Rayburn, and Renee Douglas will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
