Barbara (Callahan) Flannery

Barbara Flannery, age 46, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born Wednesday, March 31, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ray Junior Callahan of Sand Gap, Kentucky, and the late Janice Cook Cain.  Barbara was a homemaker, loved to read her Bible daily, enjoyed painting, drawing, crafting, most of all loved to cook for and spend time with her family.   Barbara also shared a special bond with her sister, Melissa.

In addition to her father, Barbara leaves behind two sons, Robbie Flannery and Joseph Flannery both of Crab Orchard; one daughter, Ashley Powell (Cody) of Berea, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Aidan Munroe, Sophia Powell, and Grayson Powell; two brothers, Johnny Callahan of Sand Gap, and Leonard Callahan of Richmond, Kentucky; three sisters, Rosie Callahan of Sand Gap, Melissa Flannery, of Crab Orchard, and Janet Callahan of Richmond; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her mother, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother Bobby Cain.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-7PM Friday, May 13, 2022, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Graveside Service and burial will take place 11:00AM Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Sand Gap.  Joseph Flannery, Robbie Flannery, Preston Flannery, Cody Powell, Leonard Callahan, and Justin Flannery will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Barbara’s grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
