Annie Sue Adams

Annie Sue Adams, 61, of Waynesburg, KY passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. Born Saturday, August 5, 1961, in Cincinnati, OH to the late Willie Hampton and Margaret Gracie Allen Hampton.  She was a former employee of Matsushita Inc. and Waynesburg Elementary where she worked as a cook, janitor, and bus monitor. Annie loved horses, horseback riding, flowers, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Eugene Adams of Waynesburg, KY whom she married on Saturday, September 17, 1983; one son, Larry Wayne Adams of Waynesburg, KY; two daughters, Nicole Wade (Kevin) of Eubank, KY, and Heather Adams of Waynesburg, KY; two sisters, Charlene Coy (Mike), and Ruby Allen both of Waynesburg, KY; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Brian Adams; five brothers, George Hampton, Don Hampton, Michael Hampton, Willie Hampton, Jr., and James Hampton; and one sister, Thelma Wallen.

A public visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 5-8pm at Barnett, Demrow, and FRIEND Funeral Home in Waynesburg, KY.

A public funeral service will be held 11am Friday, July 28, 2023, at the funeral home with Bro. Jeremy Johnson officiating.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 3pm Friday, July 28, 2023, at Allen Cemetery in Portersburg, KY.
