Annetta Mae Brooks Hamilton

Annetta Mae Brooks Hamilton, age 94, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, in Stanford, Kentucky. Born Tuesday, October 23, 1928, in Kenton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Reva Perry Brooks. Annetta was the widow of the late Jess Raymond Hamilton, to whom she was married for 35 years, and preceded her in death Friday, August 15, 1986. Annetta was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to adult daycare, doing crafts and puzzles, playing games, and socializing with others. 

Annetta leaves behind four daughters, Debra McGohan (Thomas) of Kettering, Ohio, Shelia Hamilton of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Linda Hamilton (Anthony Manning) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Teresa Spears of Kings Mountain; one son, Jesse James Hamilton of Batavia, Ohio;  grandchildren, Dana Scales (late Marty), Corey Harman, Eric Hamilton (Jennifer), Miranda Hubble (Bill), Courtney Harman, Shelly Hamilton, Brandon Sims (Cabrina Yates), and Justin Hamilton (Autumn); 19 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Annetta was preceded in death by one son, John David Hamilton; one son- in-law, Arnold Spears; and one granddaughter, Jessica Hamilton. 

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Monday, August 28, 2023, at Barnett, Demrow, and Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, at the funeral home. Bro. Lynville Hatter will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on her memorial page of the funeral home’s website.  

Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery.
