Amy Lu Hazlett Stevens, age 63, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Friday, March 17, 1961, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late James Richard “Jimmy” & Amy Inease VonLinger Hazlett. Amy Lu previously worked as a Child Development Associate for the Lincoln County Preschool Program. Amy Lu was a Christian of the Baptist faith and loved to volunteer and help those in need. She will be known for her spunky personality and lived and loved life to the fullest. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her daughters.
Amy Lu leaves behind two daughters, Amy Lane Stevens of Stanford, and Haley Danielle Stevens of Stanford; two grandchildren, Jaxson Lee Crain and Kinsley Danielle Crain both of Stanford; two sisters, Sandra Hazlett Robbins of McKinney, Kentucky, and Helen Hazlett Ingram of Stanford; and several extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Amy Lu was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Wayne “Mudd Turtle” Hazlett and William Albert Hazlett; and “brother”, Chuck Robbins.
Cremation Rites have been honored.
A Public Visitation will be held 12:30PM-2PM Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, at the funeral home. The Memorial Service will be livestreamed on Amy Lu’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
