Amos VonLinger Obituary

Amos VonLinger, age 90, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born Sunday, October 12, 1930 in Liberty, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Rudolph “Bill” and Zelpha Ragle VonLinger. Amos was a U.S. Army Veteran, who served during the Korean Conflict Era.  He was a member of Blue Lick Baptist Church. He was a part of the Dairy Queen Coffee Club in Stanford, Kentucky. Amos loved Ford trucks and played the guitar for many years.  Amos was well-known, in the community, for working on lawn mowers and weed eaters.

Amos leaves behind one son, Freddie VonLinger (Helen) of Lancaster, Kentucky; two daughters, Cassie Bottoms (Morgan) of Stanford and Ashley Cooper (Clayton) of Stanford, three grandchildren, Carissa Wardrip of Stanford, Melissa Delaney of Liberty, Kentucky and Jessica Moore (Michael) of Lancaster; five great grandchildren, Davis Wardrip, Chase Delaney, Dakota Delaney, Cheyenne Moore, and Kameron Moore.

In addition to his parents, Amos was preceded in death by one sister, Amy Hazlett.

Due to current COVID-19 regulations, a Private Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. Bro. Wayne Stephens will officiate the service. Private Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with full military honors performed by the Caswell-Saufley American Legion Post #18. The Private Funeral Service will be live streamed on Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook page beginning at 1:00PM Tuesday.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to current restrictions, masks must be worn by all in attendance for the Private Visitation and the Funeral Service; and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
