Alice Marie (Brown) Carpenter

Alice Marie (Brown) Carpenter, born Saturday, December 1st, 1951 in the Green River Community in Lincoln County, Kentucky to the late Gabe Wesley “Toddy” and Mary Evelyn Naylor Brown, departed this life on Saturday, December 5, 2020, being the age of 69 years old. Alice was a faithful member of Green River Pentecostal Church, where she helped with Christmas Blessings, monthly meals on wheels and was a singer. She also directed and wrote many church plays, throughout the years, along with assisted with church baptisms.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hershel Carpenter whom she spent 47 years and 11 months with and preceded her in death on Thursday, May 28, 2020; along with, one brother, Jackie Dale Brown; and one sister, Jeanine Moore.

Alice leaves behind her sons, Brian Keith Carpenter and wife, Heather of London, Kentucky, Michael Paul Carpenter and wife, Michelle of Danville, Kentucky, Steven Lee Carpenter (Melanie) of Danville; one step-son, Hershel Scott Carpenter (Tammie) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Kristen and Craigory Coppola, Brianna Carpenter, Isaiah Carpenter and Alisha, Colin Carpenter, Logan Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter, Bailee Carpenter (Gracie, Rylee); step grandchildren, Brittny Scott Carpenter (Billy) (Bella, Caleb and Kadin) and Zebadiah Carpenter. Special God family, Todd, Katrina and Zachary Salyers; four brothers, Johnny Mack Brown and wife Cheryl, Ivan Brown and wife Betty, Eddie “Popcorn” Brown and wife Lynnette and Randy “Bugger” Brown and wife Sharlot, all of the Green River Community; three sisters, Louise Brown and husband Bobby, Edna Griffin and late husband Joe, Peggy Griffin and husband Steve, all of the Green River Community; a host of nieces and nephews and several extended family members and friends that mourn her passing.

Due to current COVID-19 regulations, masks must be worn by all in attendance for the Private Visitation and the Funeral Service; and social distancing guidelines must be followed.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. Bro. Rick Naylor will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook Page beginning at 12:00PM Thursday. Private Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Kristen Coppola, Brianna Carpenter, Isaiah Carpenter, Colin Carpenter, Logan Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter, Bailee Carpenter and Brittny Carpenter will serve as Active Pallbearers. Craigory Coppola, Alisha Archer, Gracie and Rylee will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

A Private Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Drive-Thru Public Visitation will be held at Green River Pentecostal Church, under the pavilion, from 4-6PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020. PLEASE NOTE: All guests must remain in their vehicles at all times.
