Alene Tucker Blair

Alene Tucker Blair, age 87, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 25, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.  Born Monday, August 16, 1937, in Russell County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Amon & Esther Bowmer Tucker.  Alene retired from the Lincoln County School System, where she served as a bus driver and a preschool aide.  Alene loved her family dearly and will be remembered for her gentle spirit and loving heart toward the students she served in the school system.  Alene also enjoyed flowers and gardening, traveling, sewing and cross stitch, and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. 

Alene leaves behind one son, Darrell Blair of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Debbie Blair Grider (Dan) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jill Blair Lewis (Charlie) of Stanford; four grandchildren, Tiffany Jacobs (Daniel) of Danville, Kentucky, Chase Grider (Heather) of Knoxville, Gentry Lewis of Lexington, and Peyton Lewis of Lexington; seven great-grandchildren, Cambria Jacobs, Colt Jacobs, Calisi Jacobs, Colette Jacobs, Charleston Jacobs, Everleigh Grider, and Veda Grider; one brother, Fred Tucker of Owensboro, Kentucky; one sister, Janet Emerson (Wendell) of Windsor, Kentucky; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her parents, Alene was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Remington Jacobs; one brother, Albert Tucker; and one sister, Redith Emerson.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM (ET) Friday, September 27, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM (ET) Friday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Kerry Jones will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Alene’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website. 

A Public Graveside Service will be held 3:00PM (ET) Friday, at Cedar Springs Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.  Burial will follow the Graveside Service.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions suggested to Wilderness Trace Development Center, or any children’s charity due to her love for children.
