William Ray "Bill" Maybrier

William Ray “Bill” Maybrier, age 84, of Spice Ridge Road in Lincoln County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at his residence.  Born Saturday, May 5, 1934 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Harry Jacob & Ruth Bell Vanhook Maybrier.  His loving wife, whom he married February 24, 1961, is Shirley Mayfield Maybrier.  Bill worked as an oil and water well driller and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. 

In addition to his wife, Bill leaves behind one daughter, Gayla Spears (Doug) of Science Hill, Kentucky; two grandsons, William Robert Wright of Houston, Texas, and Michael Lee Wright  of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary Wolfe (Chester) of Stanford, Kentucky, and Margaret Freeman of Tallahassee, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by 11 siblings. 

Cremation Rites have been honored.  A Private Family Memorial Service will be held, at Bill’s residence, at a later date.
