W.R. Rowland

W.R. Rowland, age 84, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Sunday, January 28, 1934 in Liberty, Kentucky, he was the son of the late B. & Mary Greer Rowland.  W.R. was the widower of the late Edith Mason Rowland, whom he married December 4, 1963 and preceded him in death January 27, 2014.  W.R. worked as a Railroad Laborer and was a Self-Employed Logger.  W.R. loved his family very much, especially his grandbabies.  W.R. loved ginseng hunting, playing Bingo, fishing, and will be remembered for aggravating people.

W.R. leaves behind three sons, Faren Roy Rowland, Daren Wayne Rowland (Sherri), and Timmy Lynn Rowland all of Kings Mountain; four daughters, Sandra Dee McGuffey (Michael Hubbard) of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Sherry Lee Coleman (Jeff Denney) of Eubank, Kentucky, Candy Michelle Padgett (Danny) of Waynesburg, and Kathy Jo Rowland (Billy Reams) of Morehead, Kentucky, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren with 4 more due soon; two sisters, Evelyn and Mildred. 

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Rodgers officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Jacobs Loop Cemetery in Waynesburg.  William Rowland, Kristopher Coleman, Cody Blanton, Dexter Padgett, Matthew Padgett, Aaron Padgett, and Jordan Rowland will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Sharon Rowland, Karla Miller, Erica Mills, Brooke Owens, Cicily Rogers, Courtney Reed, Ashley Sheene, Samantha Rowland, and Courtney Hixson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday at the funeral home.
