Sharon L. Ball Gooch

Sharon L. Ball Gooch, age 68, of KY Hwy 328 East in Eubank, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.  Born Tuesday, November 16, 1948 in McCreary County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Charles Homer & Elsie Evelyn Candler Ball.  Her loving husband, whom she married January 3, 1972, is Lonnie N. Gooch of Eubank.  Throughout her career, she worked as a Medical Assistant, factory worker, and was a homemaker.  Sharon was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Stanford and most recently attended Liberty Baptist Church in Crab Orchard.  She loved to read, loved the outdoors, and loved beautiful flowers.

In addition to her husband, Sharon leaves behind one brother, Michael Ball of Indiana; brother-and-sister-in-laws, Larry Gooch (Donna) of Mount Vernon, Gina Eubank (Mark) and Tammy Todd (Roy) both of Eubank, and Rhonda Brown of Crab Orchard; and several nieces and nephews who each held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor Allen Ball and Charles Homer Ball, Jr., and one sister, Glenda Rae Blevins. 

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Zandell Hasty & Bro. Vola Brown officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.  Derek Todd, Nathan Eubank, Logan Clark, Tommy Gooch, Allen Roberts & John Floyd will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Ida Roberts, Whitney Turner, Kendra Brown, Lyndsey Todd, Ashton Todd, and Tonia Griffin will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 11:30AM-1:00PM Thursday at the church.
