Norman Dale Bell, age 78, of Jim Padgett Lane in Waynesburg, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his residence. Born Saturday, December 23, 1939 in Coopersville, KY, he was the son of the late Denver & Goldie Bell. Norman worked as a sawyer at Woodstock Pallet in Eubank for over 10 years, worked as a sawyer at Watson Lumber Company for 25 years, and was a member of the Kings Mountain Christian Church. Norman was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Norman loved his family dearly. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Norman leaves behind the mother of his children, Gwendolyn Watts. He also leaves behind one son, Marty Bell of Waynesburg; two daughters, Kathy Hilborn (Tom) of Somerset, KY and Connie Ray (Jimmy) of Kings Mountain, KY; two grandchildren, Amanda Hilborn and William Kinley; and several nieces and nephews. Norman also leaves behind three sisters, Lois Grodi (Jim) of Somerset, KY, Mary Faye Elliott (Kenny Ray) of Kings Mountain, and Katie Ray of Lancaster, KY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Ray Bell.
A Funeral Service will be held 12:00PM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel officiating the service. Burial will follow in Gooch Cemetery (Greenbriar Rd). Roger Bell, Timmy Bell, Gary Gregory, Michael Edwards, Randy Grodi, Bill Houp, Brandon Rowe, and Brad Watts will serve as Active Pallbearers. Wade Watts, Lyle David Bell, and Charles Lee Bell will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Friday, December 7, 2018 at the funeral home.
