Murrell Phillippe, age 83, of the Walltown community in Casey County, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Casey County Hospital in Liberty, Kentucky. Murrell was born Sunday, April 7, 1935 at home in Casey County, he was the son of the late William F. “Bill” and Clatie Owens Phillippe. His loving wife, whom he married July 3, 1971, is Reba Hatter Phillippe of Walltown. Murrell was a farmer, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting rabbits, coons and squirrels, and loved playing Rook.
In addition to his wife, Murrell leaves behind one sister, Opal Phillippe Ellison of Milan, Indiana; one brother, Earl Phillippe (May) of Osgood, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Hobert, Ted, JT, Joe, Hayden, Paul and Mack Phillippe; two sisters, Lucille and Pearl Phillippe.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Stephens and Bro. Lynville Hatter officiating the service. Burial will follow in Dunham Cemetery.
The Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Friday at the funeral home.
